Job summary

The Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito, CA invites applications for a part-time Conservation Engagement Associate. You will greet visitors, verify reservations, promote programs, lead tours, and work with volunteers to create memorable experiences that inspire ocean stewardship.

You will support front-of-house operations, be a tour docent when needed, and help evaluate visitor satisfaction while upholding the center’s mission and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Combination of education and experience equivalent to being currently enrolled in college or having an associate or bachelor’s degree in administration, education, marine science or related field; and at least 1 year of experience in customer service or equivalent experience.
• Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination or waiver (medical or religious).

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors, verify ticket reservations, promote programs, and engage visitors about the Center’s work and mission.
• Lead tours and perform docent duties; mentor Conservation Engagement volunteers to ensure quality visitor experience.
• Answer and direct phone calls in a polite and friendly manner; maintain a clean, safe environment for visitors.
• May represent the Center through donor cultivation activities and special projects as assigned.
