Job summary

Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MoDNR) seeks a qualified professional for the Soil and Water Conservation Program in the Northeast region. The role focuses on reviewing contracts, guiding district actions, and ensuring compliance with state statutes and program policies.

You will train district staff, perform cost-share reviews, and participate in outreach events to promote conservation. Travel is required to support districts across Missouri.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Natural Resource Management or related field.
• Conservation agriculture, conservation planning, or agricultural land management experience may substitute for a degree.
• Experience with GIS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review cost-share contracts to ensure policy compliance in MoDNR programs.
• Attend district board meetings to guide district operations and policy application.
• Perform compliance reviews of cost-share practices across districts.
• Provide training to district employees on operations, finance tracking and cost-share administration.
• Develop understanding of rules affecting soil and water conservation in Missouri.
• Represent the program at meetings, trainings, and educational events.
