Job summary

Missouri Department of Natural Resources is seeking a licensed professional engineer to lead a team within the Soil and Water Conservation Program in Jefferson City, MO. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related discipline from an ABET-accredited program.
• 4+ years of relevant engineering experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and perform engineering duties for water management, waste management, erosion control, irrigation and other conservation practices.
• Complete and oversee engineering design including calculations, drawings, specs, and maintenance plans.
• Supervise engineers and mentor staff to develop engineering capabilities.
• Conduct site investigations, inspections during construction, and post-construction review.
• Develop and train SWCD staff in granting authority for engineering practices.
