Job summary

Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) seeks a qualified professional to develop natural resource conservation plans across Montana. You’ll coordinate with SWDCs, partner agencies and landowners to implement conservation programs and ensure long-range district planning aligns with annual work plans.

The role requires in-depth knowledge of soils, erosion control and water quality, plus experience in collaborating with diverse stakeholders to resolve resource concerns.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience includes providing technical guidance on soils, erosion control, water quality and land management.
• Experience in preparing conservation/resource management plans and providing implementation assistance.
• Ability to communicate issue explanations to landowners, residents and land managers.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice on natural resources and develop management strategies.
• Serve as liaison to partners for NRCS programs and guidance on conservation activities.
• Assist with program awareness and contract management within the unit.
