Job summary

The California Conservation Corps offers a Conservationist I position, supervising corpsmembers aged 18–25 on conservation projects across diverse landscapes. You will train, motivate, and assess crews, and ensure safe work habits while meeting mission goals.

Responsibilities include leadership development, performance evaluation, and coordinating field operations, with potential for travel and in-office reporting.

Qualifications

• Supervise and evaluate corpsmembers in conservation projects.
• Instruct and motivate youths aged 18–25 on safety and productive work habits.
• Lead training and development of leadership skills among crew members.
• Maintain records and enforce CCC discipline policies.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Corpsmembers in remote or urban project sites.
• Instruct in construction, landscaping, erosion control, and trail work.
• Monitor health, safety, and time/leave records; prepare reports.
• Drive state vehicles and ensure proper maintenance and licensing.
