Veriipro is seeking a qualified candidate to lead and mentor a team of support engineers focused on Connex applications running on HPE NonStop/Tandem systems in Houston, Texas. The individual will ensure high-quality customer service, operational efficiency, and continuous process improvement.

Must Have Skills

Connex, Hands‑on TANDEM/NonStop X Systems development, TAL, COBOL, S‑COBOL and TACL

Technical Skills

• Extensive hands‑on experience with Connex switch, transaction processing & their associated components.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills across ATM, POS, and payment schemes.
• Good knowledge on Authorization Processing (AP) component, AP maintenance & AP online transaction processing.
• Understanding of debugging Connex modules and troubleshoot the issues in transaction processing.
• Expertise in TAL, COBOL, S‑COBOL, and TACL programming languages.
• Experience in using the Tandem utilities like FUP, Enscribe, Enform, Bind/XLD, SQL, DDL, INSPECT, Netbatch, Spooler, Peruse, Pathway concepts, etc.,
• Proficient in Connex source code analysis, application debugging, and issue resolution.
• Experience with Connex knowledge on PI, TH, CH, PMC, CED, SMONINQY, CMSUTIL, NMI, EMS, Prognosis, etc.,

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of support engineers focused on Connex applications running on HPE NonStop/Tandem systems.
• Responsible for ensuring high‑quality customer service, operational efficiency, and continuous process improvement.
• Act as the first point of escalation for complex or high‑priority customer issues.
• Coordinate with infrastructure, application, and network teams to resolve cross‑functional issues.
• Drive root cause analysis and implement preventive measures for recurring incidents.
• Maintain and update operational documentation, runbooks, and support procedures.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, team collaboration and decision‑making skills.
