Join our exceptional Department of Neurobiology to advance cutting-edge basic science research on the brain and central nervous system. As a Connectomics Research Associate (SRA II), you'll work at the forefront of neuroscience research at UCLA. This position has a fixed hybrid schedule requiring on-site work 4 days per week.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  1. Support highly technical and complex wet laboratory research procedures for projects with federally funded milestones, including histological procedures and analyses involving animals.
  2. Collaborate with principal investigators and researchers to plan, design, and conduct advanced research projects and experiments.
  3. Develop workflows to meet all project deadlines.
  4. Identify appropriate species, estimate time, resources, and personnel needed to complete projects and experiments.

Salary range: $28.88 - $46.46 Hourly

Qualifications

Required:

  • Experience in Connectomics
  • Knowledge of neurosurgery and stereotactic ICV implantation
  • Organizational skills in wet laboratory administration
  • Understanding of neurodevelopmental effects of perinatal ethanol exposure on neuroendocrine, neuroimmune, behavioral, and neurochemical indices
  • Technical expertise in neuroanatomy, biochemistry, and physiology
  • Experience training staff and students
  • Ability to interpret data, prepare manuscripts, and present at scientific meetings; advanced histological skills
  • Knowledge of chemical methods in research
