You will greet customers, process sales (including financial aid payments), and help maintain a clean, organized store environment. Seasonal scheduling is required, with weekend shifts and peak periods; employees receive a discount and other benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Expectations:

• Assist with processing sales transactions involving cash, credit, or financial aid payments.
• Provide a friendly atmosphere by greeting customers and focusing on their positive experience throughout their visit.
• Take initiative to support store operations including operating equipment and cash register while ensuring speed of service and accurate transactions.

• Seasonal positions require work during peak periods (i.e. semester starts and ends), occasional weekends, andflexibility in schedulingto work periodically during the school year.
• Routine housekeeping including, for example, dusting, mopping, window cleaning, vacuuming, trash removal.

Physical Demands:

• Frequent movement within the store to access various departments, areas, and/or products.
• Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
• Frequent lifting.
• Occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.

Connecticut Pay Transparency Information (Only applicable in Connecticut stores):

Pay: Seasonal Bookseller pay rate: $17.25/hr.
