Barnes & Noble College is seeking a part-time Campus Retail Associate to deliver exceptional customer service and support store operations. You will process transactions, greet customers, and help maintain a welcoming, organized space across campus stores.

The role emphasizes a friendly attitude, basic math and data entry skills, and flexible year-round availability in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support store operations including operating equipment and cash register with speed and accuracy.
• Keep the store tidy by shelving, arranging, cleaning, and organizing products or space.
• Part-time positions require availability on a weekly basis year round; schedules may vary.
• Routine housekeeping including dusting, mopping, window cleaning, vacuuming, and trash removal.

Responsibilities

Expectations:

• Assist with processing sales transactions involving cash, credit, or financial aid payments.
• Provide a friendly atmosphere by greeting customers and focusing on their positive experience throughout their visit.
• Take initiative to support store operations including operating equipment and cash register while ensuring speed of service and accurate transactions.
• Keep the store looking fresh by shelving, arranging, cleaning, and organizing products or space within the store.
• Part‑timepositions require availability to work on a weekly basis year round. Schedules may be set or vary to meet the needs of the store.
• Routine housekeeping including, for example, dusting, mopping, window cleaning, vacuuming, trash removal.

Physical Demands:

• Frequent movement within the store to access various departments, areas, and/or products.
• Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
• Frequent lifting.
• Occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.

Connecticut Pay Transparency Information (Only applicable in Connecticut stores):

Pay: Part-time Bookseller pay rate: $17.50/hr.
