Barnes & Noble College in Plymouth, NH is seeking a Campus Retail Associate to provide exceptional customer service and support store operations in a campus bookstore environment.

You will greet customers, process transactions, and help keep the store tidy and well-stocked, with flexibility for seasonal peaks during semesters and special events. This role offers earning opportunities through an employee discount and development programs within a dynamic college setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with processing sales transactions involving cash, credit, or financial aid payments.
• Greet customers and create a positive experience during their visit.
• Support store operations including operating equipment and cash register, ensuring speed and accuracy.
• Keep the store clean and organized by shelving, arranging, and maintaining space.
• Seasonal peaks may require longer hours, weekends, and scheduling flexibility.
• Perform routine housekeeping such as dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal.

Responsibilities

Expectations:

• Assist with processing sales transactions involving cash, credit, or financial aid payments.
• Provide a friendly atmosphere by greeting customers and focusing on their positive experience throughout their visit.
• Take initiative to support store operations including operating equipment and cash register while ensuring speed of service and accurate transactions.
• Keep the store looking fresh by shelving, arranging, cleaning, and organizing products or space within the store.
• Seasonal positions require work during peak periods (i.e. semester starts and ends), occasional weekends, andflexibility in schedulingto work periodically during the school year.
• Routine housekeeping including, for example, dusting, mopping, window cleaning, vacuuming, trash removal.

Physical Demands:

• Frequent movement within the store to access various departments, areas, and/or products
• Ability to stand in a stationary position for extended periods.
• Frequent lifting.
• Occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.
