Job summary

Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF) is seeking an Associate Director to lead major gifts and donor engagement in Connecticut. This full-time role involves traveling to communities, building donor networks, and collaborating with regional and national teams to advance our mission.

You will manage donor portfolios, plan events, coordinate solicitations, and steward partners. Strong communication, five years of frontline fundraising, and donor database experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years front-line fundraising experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication; able to inspire and present clearly.
• Excellent interpersonal diplomatic skills and ability to lead with integrity.
• Experience using donor management databases to maximize fundraising results.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office; Raiser's Edge/CRM knowledge a plus.
• Experience writing newsletters or donor reports for supporters.
• Experience using social media to promote events and programs.

Responsibilities

• Secure major gifts and manage donor engagement.
• Develop and cultivate donor relationships across Connecticut.
• Identify prospective donors through outreach and analysis.
• Coordinate fundraising activities and events, including parlor meetings.
• Participate in Solicitation of donors according to annual plan and goals.
• Support women's division and cultivate volunteers for donor solicitation.
• Develop online and offline donor recognition campaigns.
• Travel within Connecticut and occasionally work evenings/weekends.
