Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Validation Engineer to join the Client Connected Vehicle Validation Team. You will validate features like Vehicle Access/Start, Security, and related customer objectives across touchpoints including mobile apps and in-vehicle systems.

You will maintain validation plans, support ride/drive events, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive new features in next-gen vehicles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited program.
• Engineering experience in automotive industry.
• Strong desire to understand customer wants and vehicle development program.
• Understanding of a vehicle's system connectivity.
• Experience in testing automotive components/features.
• Use of Vector CANoe / CANalyzer.
• Demonstrated communication skills (written and oral).
• Strong understanding of operational architecture, defining use cases, vehicle and software life cycle.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to summarize and present work.
• Proven ability to deliver in a fast-paced work environment with minimum assistance.

Responsibilities

• Validate Vehicle Access/Start, Security, and related features.
• Maintain functional objective library and validate test plans and procedures.
• Support ride/drive events and cross-functional feature development.
• Assist Platform Engineers in identifying issues within the vehicle domain.
• Support benchmarking activities for the domain.
