Job summary

Logisnext Americas Inc. is seeking an Electrical Test Engineer to lead testing for connected/Telematics systems, antennas, RTLS, UWB/BLE, and RFID technologies. You will coordinate DFMEA creation, draft test plans, perform tests, and analyze data to resolve system issues.

The role requires 3+ years in test engineering, CANBus knowledge, and experience with wireless system validation. Travel up to 25% and office/lab exposure across multiple locations are expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
  • 3+ years in test engineering at a major OEM; system-level test experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of sensor selection for testing and CANBus testing.
  • Experience with electrical circuits, control systems, and testing wireless or connected systems.
  • Ability to create/review test cases, run tests, and schedule projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop or refine test procedures and test cases for subsystems and features.
  • Execute manual and semi-automated tests at bench, HIL, and vehicle levels; capture logs and data.
  • Support validation campaigns to ensure compliance with internal standards and requirements.
  • Assist root‑cause investigations for field or plant issues and propose corrective actions.
  • Participate in technical reviews with suppliers and stakeholders; provide testability feedback.

About The Role

Responsible for Connected solutions electrical testing and evaluation. Support the development and implementation of testing for existing and next-generation/emerging connected/Telematics systems, antenna performance, RTLS, UWB/BLE, and RFID technologies. The position also involves testing of various operator-assist functionalities, controllers, and production-ready wireless solutions. Coordinate activities among engineering, firmware/software teams, energy storage solutions team, and truck development teams. Lead and coordinate DFMEA creation, test plan drafting, test execution, and data analysis. Troubleshooting, issue tracking, and resolution of any current or future system-related field service requests.

What You Will Do
  • Test Planning & Design: Develop or refine test procedures and test cases for defined subsystems and features. Ensure test coverage aligns with requirements and system use cases
  • System & Subsystem Testing: Execute manual and semi-automated tests at the bench, HIL, and vehicle level. Capture logs and data; ensure tests are run accurately and efficiently
  • Validation & Compliance: Support validation campaigns to confirm compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulations. Assist in test readiness reviews
  • Current Product Support: Support root‑cause investigations for field or plant issues. Reproduce issues, collect diagnostic data, and collaborate with development teams on corrective actions
  • Supplier & Stakeholder Interaction: Participate in technical reviews with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Provide feedback on testability, test results, and observed issues
When & Where
  • 25% travel (Houston to Marengo or vice versa)
  • The work is primarily done in an office environment with other work locations including the development lab, the manufacturing line, and field locations such as customer facilities. Microsoft Office suite of tools, along with data analysis software.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, or related field of study)
  • 3+ years of experience in test engineering roles in a major OEM (Material handling or others). System-level test experience preferred
  • Must possess a working knowledge of sensor selection for testing, proficiency in electrical circuit design, and analysis
  • Working knowledge of control systems and electrical subsystems. Experience with CANBus protocols and testing
  • Collection and analysis of CAN data using tools such as P-CAN, CANalyzer, etc
  • Experience with testing and/or validation of wireless or connected systems
  • Should have experience with electrical instruments such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and signal generators
  • Experienced in creating and reviewing test cases, conducting testing, and developing project schedules that account for timelines, manpower, and resources
What Would Be Nice To Have
  • Experience with n-Code, MATLAB, or other data processing software
  • Experience with testing controllers, motor drivers, or similar electro‑mechanical components is highly preferred
  • Experience in system-level, component-level, environmental testing, and board-level electrical test characterization is preferred
  • Experience with testing object detection technologies
  • Experience with electrical and firmware/ software testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
  • Understanding of the design of experiments, accelerated life testing principles, product life cycles, and the application of relevant test methodologies

The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $110,000 annually. The specific salary for a successful candidate will depend upon, among other legitimate factors, education, training, and/or experience.
