Clarios is seeking a Sales Director to build and scale the Connected Services sales organization, driving recurring revenue across fleets, OEMs, and partners. You will recruit, coach, and align a high-performing team with a disciplined operating rhythm and MEDDICC-like standards.
Lead Salesforce-driven pipeline management, forecast accuracy, and a customer‑first approach to unlock strategic opportunities and expand market presence for connected battery intelligence.
Clarios is a global leader in advanced energy storage solutions. Clarios Connected Services is the company's innovation engine beyond the battery - turning battery and vehicle data into actionable insights that help commercial fleets, OEMs, and aftermarket partners reduce downtime, prevent no-starts, and lower total cost of ownership. We work alongside leading telematics platforms, fleet operators, and channel partners to bring connected battery intelligence to market at scale.
The Sales Director will build, lead, and scale the Connected Services sales organization. This is a hands‑on leadership role for a proven sales builder who can recruit and develop top talent, install a disciplined sales operating model, and convert a growing pipeline of fleet, OEM, and partner opportunities into predictable, recurring revenue. The ideal candidate combines strong people leadership with rigorous sales force management - territory and quota design, pipeline governance, forecasting accuracy, and CRM (Salesforce) excellence.
Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop a high‑performing team of account executives and account managers.
Define roles, territories, account segmentation (enterprise fleets, OEMs, channel/aftermarket, telematics partners), and coverage models.
Set clear expectations and coach consistently through 1:1s, deal reviews, ride‑alongs, and skill development plans.
Build a winning, accountable culture that shares wins and losses openly and turns learnings into better execution.
Own the sales operating rhythm: weekly pipeline standups, monthly business reviews, and quarterly/annual sales kickoffs.
Design and manage quota setting, incentive/compensation plans, and performance management aligned to company goals.
Establish sales stages, entry/exit criteria, and deal qualification standards (e.g., MEDDICC or similar) across the team.
Deliver accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecasts; drive pipeline coverage, velocity, and conversion to booked revenue before fiscal year close (September 30).
Track and report KPIs - bookings, ARR/recurring revenue, win rate, cycle time, pilot‑to‑production conversion, and activity metrics.
Serve as business owner of Salesforce for the sales team - driving adoption, data hygiene, and single‑source‑of‑truth reporting.
Partner with Sales Ops/IT to configure opportunity stages, dashboards, forecasting tools, and automation that improve productivity.
Use CRM data and analytics to identify trends, coach reps, allocate resources, and inform leadership decisions.
Personally lead and support strategic pursuits with large fleets, and partners - including pilot design, success KPIs, break‑even/ROI cases, and commercial negotiations.
Develop go‑to‑market strategies for new segments and regions in partnership with Business Development, Partnerships, Product, and Marketing.
Build executive‑level relationships with customers and partners and represent Clarios at industry events.
Feed customer and market insights back to Product and Customer Experience teams to shape the roadmap.
