Job summary

A government support contractor based in Arlington, VA, is seeking a Congressional Support Analyst to provide analysis and support for the F-35 JPO community. Responsibilities include drafting responses to Congressional inquiries and analyzing financial impacts of related bills. Candidates must have a BA/BS or relevant experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Qualifications

• Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily.
• Experience working in legislative affairs or government relations.
• Current active Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Draft and coordinate staffing papers for Congressional inquiries.
• Provide quick turn analysis on programmatic impacts.
• Attend hearings and provide meeting minutes.

Skills

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office products

Familiarity with congressional hearing procedures

Familiarity with reviewing and interpreting statutory and legislative language

Education

BA/BS with 5 years of experience

AA/AS degree with 5 years of experience

GED/Diploma with 10 years of experience
