Congressional Investigations Associate | Washington D.C.

Our client, a stellar AmLaw 50 firm, is seeking associates with 4 or 5 years of post-JD experience with congressional inquiries and litigation or regulatory inquiries to join its practice in Washington D.C. Prior Congressional staff experience a plus!

This firm represents clients in front of both chambers of Congress, with every major committee spanning the majority of industry sectors. These representations include specific needs such as overseeing public relations, coordinating multi-branch strategies to address overlapping governmental inquiries, and handling formal inquiries and formal committee requests and subpoenas. More broadly, this also includes discovery and ESI management, drafting of testimonies and guiding witnesses through preparation.

Note the salary range for this position is estimated to be $300,000 – $355,000 (annually) and may vary depending on experience, qualifications and location.

Qualifications

• Active bar license in D.C.


• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without need for sponsorship now or in the future


• Excellent academic credentials


• Between 4 and 5 years of post-JD experience (Class years 2021 or 2022) possessing experience with congressional inquiries and litigation or regulatory inquiries that arise in response


• Outstanding writing & analytical skills


• Willingness to work in a collaborative work environment
