Dilworth Paxson LLP is seeking a Conflicts & New Business Intake Analyst to support risk management and client onboarding from our Philadelphia office. You will perform conflicts searches, analyze results, and facilitate matter openings in line with firm policies and professional responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; legal or paralegal background preferred.
  • 2–5 years of law firm conflicts/intake/risk management experience.
  • Experience with conflicts database systems (Intapp) preferred.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Sound judgment and discretion with confidential information.
  • Team-oriented with ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive conflicts searches for new clients, matters, and lateral hires using the firm’s conflicts database.
  • Analyze search results to identify potential conflicts of interest, including direct and positional conflicts.
  • Research corporate affiliations, subsidiaries, and related parties to ensure accurate analysis.
  • Escalate potential conflicts to the General Counsel as appropriate.
  • Assist with drafting conflict waivers and engagement disclosures.
  • Review and process new client and matter intake requests for completeness and accuracy.
  • Open new matters in the firm’s financial/practice management system upon conflicts clearance.
  • Ensure proper documentation is obtained, including engagement letters, fee arrangements, and required approvals.
  • Maintain accurate client and matter data within firm systems.
  • Communicate with attorneys and staff to gather necessary information and clarify intake details.
  • Provide guidance to attorneys on intake procedures and required information.
  • Coordinate with accounting, and administrative teams to ensure smooth matter setup.

Job description

The Conflicts & New Business Intake Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the firm’s risk management and client onboarding functions. This position is responsible for conducting conflict of interest searches, analyzing results, and facilitating the opening of new client matters in accordance with firm policies and professional responsibility obligations. The Analyst works closely with attorneys, administrative teams, and firm leadership to ensure timely and accurate intake and conflicts clearance.This position will reside in our Philadelphia Office.

Key Responsibilities
Conflicts Analysis
