Job summary

BakerHostetler is seeking a Conflicts Analyst to join its Intake Services department. The role supports conflict reviews for lateral attorney hires and other new hires, researching and analyzing potential conflicts of interest and preparing conflicts reports.

The analyst coordinates onboarding and matter openings, works with stakeholders to resolve conflicts, maintains conflicts databases, and ensures compliance with firm policies across time zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with minimum two years of law firm conflicts experience.
• Knowledge of conflicts analysis, new business intake, and clearance processes.
• Experience with Intapp or similar conflicts software and legal research tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn new software.
• Strong research, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Review conflicts forms and information submitted by candidates and new hires.
• Conduct conflicts searches and analyze results to identify conflicts requiring review.
• Research prior client relationships, matter involvement, and related information.
• Collaborate with Recruiting, HR, attorneys, and candidates to resolve conflicts.
• Coordinate onboarding of lateral attorneys, including engagement letters and matter openings.
• Prepare conflicts reports and summaries and document resolutions.
• Review client and matter information for accuracy and quality.
• Respond to inquiries regarding conflicts searches and status.
• Maintain conflicts and intake database records.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Stay current on policies and conflicts procedures.
