Ashurst Perkins Coie US LLP is seeking a Conflicts Attorney to advise on client engagement terms, outside counsel guidelines, and related agreements. The role focuses on balancing legal, commercial, and risk considerations while protecting the firm’s interests.

Ideal candidates will have a J.D. with U.S. licensure, substantial experience in contract negotiations, and a track record in risk mitigation across complex client engagements.

Qualifications

• J.D. with active license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 5+ years of legal practice experience; large law firm preferred.
• 2+ years in compliance, risk management, in-house or contract-focused work.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze client engagement terms, outside counsel guidelines, and related agreements.
• Advise on legal, commercial, operational and risk implications of proposed client terms.
• Lead or support negotiations with clients and attorneys to protect the firm while addressing client priorities.
• Identify risks and collaborate with experts and GC on solutions.
• Review changes to standard engagement terms and advise on exceptions.
