Job summary

Morrison Foerster seeks a Conflicts Analyst to join the Conflicts/New Business team in San Diego. You will produce and review conflict reports, research client and matter details, and identify potential conflicts and sanctions issues.

The role requires knowledge of conflicts procedures, ability to access government lists, and proficiency with Microsoft applications. Occasional overtime may be required. This is an on-site position across multiple offices, including San Diego.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of conflicts or legal assistant experience in a law firm or related role.
• Intapp Conflicts experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft applications required.

Responsibilities

• Produce and review conflict reports and identify potential conflicts of interest and sanctions issues using the firm’s conflicts software.
• Conduct factual research on client and parties to firm matters using corporate structures and government sanctions lists.
• Research affiliate relationships and waivers using external databases and determine matter closings.
• Review new requests and return results using the firm’s workflow system.
• Independently analyze the report with limited guidance from Conflicts Coordinators.
