Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Conflicts Analyst in New York to support the conflicts process. You will conduct searches, validate results, maintain the conflicts database, and assist with intake of new clients and matters, collaborating with attorneys and business teams.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in a legal environment, strong communication skills, and a solid grasp of conflicts search methodologies. Weekend/after-hours shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a legal or law firm environment with conflicts experience preferred.
• College degree preferred and excellent written communication.
• Knowledge of conflicts search methodologies and legal search terminology.
• Ability to perform corporate research on clients and relevant parties.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking.
• Familiarity with Boolean search operands and techniques.

Responsabilités

• Conduct timely, accurate conflict searches for preliminary requests, new matters, and new clients.
• Review and validate all information submitted to the department and ensure accurate names.
• Maintain and update conflicts database and follow clearance procedures.
• Identify potential conflicts of interest and determine when an ethical wall may be required.
• Liaise with attorneys and business representatives for conflicts clearance.
• Analyze information to support conflict clearance in line with firm policies.
• Respond to questions regarding conflicts policies and procedures.
• Occasional after‑hour and weekend remote shifts may be required.
