Kirkland & Ellis is seeking a Conflicts Supervisor to lead the conflicts search and analysis function for new business intake and related matters. Qualifications

  • Education: Studies in business administration, project management, management, paralegal studies, legal assistance, finance, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: 5 to 7 years of experience in conflicts analysis, conflicts searching, risk management, business intake, or a closely related process management environment.
  • Leadership Skills: Previous supervisory experience or demonstrated ability to lead teams, guide performance, and foster collaboration in a high-volume environment.
  • Risk & Legal Knowledge: Strong understanding of conflicts identification, analysis, and resolution processes within a professional services or legal setting.
  • Organization & Prioritization: Ability to manage multiple projects, balance competing priorities, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Communication & Relationship Building: Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and stakeholder groups.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong analytical thinking, sound judgment, and a commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Technical Expertise: Extensive experience with conflicts search platforms is required; experience with Intapp products is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Team Operations: Supervise the daily workflow of the conflicts analysis team, ensuring matters are prioritized appropriately and completed accurately, consistently, and on time.
  • Manage Conflicts Review Processes: Assist attorneys and legal staff with identifying, evaluating, and resolving potential conflicts of interest, collaborating with Risk Management and the Office of the General Counsel when needed.
  • Drive Quality & Consistency: Establish and maintain analysis protocols, review work product, and ensure high standards across conflicts search and analysis activities.
  • Coordinate Complex Projects: Oversee large-scale conflicts analysis initiatives, ensuring effective organization, collaboration, and successful outcomes.
  • Enhance Processes & Technology: Continuously evaluate and improve workflows, procedures, and systems to increase efficiency, accuracy, and customer service.
  • Support Training & Development: Partner with Business Intake & Conflicts teams to maintain process documentation, support cross-training initiatives, and help onboard and develop new team members.
  • Provide People Leadership: Collaborate with Conflicts Counsel and department leadership to coach, mentor, evaluate, and support members of the conflicts analysis team.
  • Contribute to Workforce Planning: Assist with identifying staffing needs, coverage requirements, hiring recommendations, and team resource planning.
  • Support Reporting & Analytics: Help prepare quarterly, annual, and ad hoc performance, operational, management, and statistical reports.
  • Provide Critical Coverage: Participate in a rotating supervisor on-call schedule and remain available to support urgent and confidential matters, including evenings and weekends, as business needs require.
