Responsibilities

• Perform conflict of interest searches for attorneys and staff to determine whether or not Firm may accept new clients and matters under prevailing ethical rules, applicable law, and internal policies.
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff to identify all parties involved in new client engagements, including individuals, groups, governments, and business entities.
• Analyze findings and present results in a timely and organized fashion.
• Conduct research in internal and external databases to identify any additional parties relevant to the conflict assessment, including corporate tree analysis.
• Answer internal calls and respond to inquiries from attorneys and staff regarding status of new matter engagements and conflict clearance.
• Handle confidential information discreetly and maintain high levels of professionalism.
• Assist in data maintenance projects to ensure accuracy of Firm's conflict system.
• Assist recruiting with lateral hire conflict checks.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Bond, Schoeneck & King, PLLC, a law firm of 300 attorneys in over 30 practice groups, is accepting applications for a full-time Conflict Analyst to support our New Business Intake department working in either our Syracuse or Melville, NY office locations. For our Syracuse, NY location, this position's salary range is between $50,000 to $60,000. For our Melville, NY location, this position's salary range is $60,000 to $72,000. This position is open to various locations, and compensation will be adjusted based on cost of living. Across all locations, salary ranges are negotiable depending on years of experience.
