Job summary

PingWind, Inc. is seeking a Configuration Management Specialist II in Indiana to support the MEWSD for Navy EW systems. You will oversee cradle-to-grave CM activities, including engineering changes, documentation, and product releases, ensuring system readiness and lifecycle performance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least 7 years of experience, with a Secret clearance. You will interact with cross-functional teams to balance mission needs with cost and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and relevant experience in configuration management.
• Experience managing hardware, software, and documentation across lifecycles.
• Ability to work with CM processes, changes, and audits.

Responsibilities

• Manage and control hardware, software, documentation, and configuration records across the system lifecycle.
• Establish, maintain, and enforce Configuration Management (CM) processes, standards, and controls.
• Maintain accurate configuration records to ensure integrity, traceability, accountability, and control.
• Support hardware and software configuration identification, status accounting, verification, and auditing activities.
• Coordinate and track configuration changes, engineering changes, product updates, and software releases from initiation through approval and implementation.
• Work with the Configuration Control Board (CCB) to evaluate, document, approve, prioritize, and implement proposed changes.
• Develop procedures for controlled release of new or modified products throughout the lifecycle.
• Provide CM guidance to program, engineering, logistics, and technical teams.
• Maintain baselines and ensure changes are reflected in documentation, inventories, and configurations.
• Monitor configuration activities to identify discrepancies and issues.
• Prepare configuration status reports, change records, and release documentation for oversight.
