Job summary

Impact ES seeks a Configuration Management Specialist to own configuration data integrity across engineering and manufacturing. You will analyze ECOs, maintain BOMs, and manage documentation within the ERP/MRP system, serving as the link between engineering, program management, procurement, and manufacturing.

You will ensure traceability, accuracy, and clear communication while supporting CM processes and continuous improvement initiatives in a production environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Person under ITAR; access to export-controlled data; eligibility required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.
• Minimum 3–5 years in configuration management, document control, or related role.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly drawings, and change documentation.
• Working knowledge of BOM structure and maintenance.
• Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
• Proficiency with MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication across engineering, program management, procurement/planning, and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings, specs, and TDPs to assess production impact of proposed changes.
• Prepare, process, and track ECOs from initiation through release.
• Implement approved changes to BOMs including structure, part numbers, revisions, and impact.
• Enter configuration changes into ERP/MRP and verify against released docs.
• Maintain configuration baselines and change history with traceability.
• Review part specs for accuracy and compliance.
• Train and support users on ECO workflows and CM processes.
• Coordinate with program management, procurement/planning, engineering, and manufacturing on change status.
• Prepare and distribute change/configuration reports and provide process insights.
• Provide additional documentation support as needed.
• Participate in and lead continuous improvement projects.
