Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) seeks a Configuration Management Specialist for FCCB in the Mechanical Engineering Department in Poway, CA.

You will coordinate and administer FCCB activities, maintain engineering documentation, and ensure compliance with contractual requirements. The role requires a bachelor's in a related field and six+ years of configuration management experience, plus the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering or related discipline with six+ years of configuration management experience.
• Understanding of configuration management concepts and related governmental rules and regulations.
• Ability to travel and work extended hours as required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer FCCB activities related to identification, control and accounting for engineering documents.
• Maintain procedures for processing engineering documents across projects to ensure policy and scheduling compliance.
• Coordinate with engineering, quality assurance and manufacturing to ensure customer and company policy compliance.
• Review project notifications to ensure accuracy of contractual reporting requirements.
• Create and manage FCCB SharePoint records and maintain documentation lifecycle.
• Coordinate, track and report progress of assignments and projects; prepare data for management.
