As a Configuration Manager on an Enterprise Zero Trust Program for a DoD client, your responsibilities will include:
- Develop and manage the overall Configuration Management process, ensuring it aligns with organizational goals and best practices
- Review and update existing Configuration Management process and collaborate with teams to develop new tools and maintain existing ones
- Oversee the Configuration Management process throughout the project lifecycle, including development, migration, deployment, and security
- Identify and control all configuration items, including software, hardware, and associated systems
- Establish and maintain a configuration baseline, ensuring it reflects the approved and controlled versions of system components
- Track and document all configuration changes and versions, ensuring accuracy and traceability
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with Configuration Management processes and standards
- Maintain accurate documentation of all configurations and communicate Configuration Management processes and best practices to IT staff
- Work with various IT teams to ensure compliance with Configuration Management processes
- Communicate Configuration Management information to stakeholders, including business and IT management
- Play a role in optimizing technology procurement, identifying saving opportunities for renewals and software licensing
- Contribute to the development of processes, systems, and tools for asset/configuration management
- Maintain Configuration Management documentation required for DoD ATO process
Basic Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Configuration Management software like Microsoft Configuration Manager, ServiceNow, or other industry standard tools
- Knowledge of version control systems like Git, SVN, or similar
- Ability to plan, execute, and manage projects effectively
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaboration with other teams and client engagement
Required Skills/Knowledge:
- Experience with at least one Configuration Management tools, such as ServiceNow, ClearCase, MS CM, etc.
- Proficiency in version control systems like Git, Subversion, etc.
- Understanding and experience with databases used for Configuration Management (CMDB)
- Experience with Project and Time Management tools
- Strong computer skills and general understanding of IT infrastructure
Desired Skills/Knowledge:
- Certification in ITIL and/or Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM), or similar
- Experience in working in DoD environments, including the ATO process
- Knowledge of automation scripting for repetitive tasks and creating workflows
- Current Secret clearance
- Bachelor’s degree, 5+ years of experience

The likely salary range for this position is $102,000 - $138,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
