Job summary

Acro is seeking a Configuration Analyst 2 to support the Configuration and Data Management group onsite in Oxnard, CA. You will handle essential configuration management tasks across the Deployables Operating Unit, coordinating documentation, changes, and data control with engineering and manufacturing teams.

The role requires a BS in engineering or related field, 2+ years in CM or similar, and hands-on PLM tool experience. Strong attention to detail and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Understanding CM principles: baselines, change control, configuration identification, status accounting, audits.
• Experience with change management processes (ECR/ECO/CR/CI or similar).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and specifications.
• Proficiency with PLM/CM tools and reporting with MS Office.

Job Description

We are looking for a Configuration Analyst 2 to support our Configuration and Data Management (CDM) group at the Deployables Operating Unit. As a member of the CDM group you’ll get to perform essential configuration management functions for the Deployables Operating Unit. This position will serve on-site at Oxnard, CA.

Responsibilities

Plans and coordinates preparation of project documentation, such as engineering drawings, production specifications and schedules, and contract modifications, to ensure customer contract requirements are met. Reviews contract to determine documentation required for each phase of project, applying knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes. Analyzes proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and system. Coordinates modification records for management control. Establishes change orders and prepares for change authorization and documentation by company and subcontractor. Reviews and analyzes released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities.

Basic Qualifications for Configuration Analyst 2

Education / Experience (minimum)

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Information Systems, or related field

OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

2+ years of experience in configuration management, document control, product lifecycle management, or similar

Configuration Management Knowledge

Working understanding of CM principles and practices (e.g., baselines, change control, configuration identification, status accounting, audits)

Experience supporting or administering change management processes (ECR/ECO/CR/CI or similar)

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and specifications

Tools & Systems

Hands-on experience with at least one PLM/CM tool (e.g., Teamcenter, Windchill, PTC, ENOVIA, Agile PLM, etc.)

Familiarity with ERP/MRP or production systems is a plus (SAP, Oracle, etc.)

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) for reporting and documentation

Skills & Competencies

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling engineering and product data

Solid organizational skills; able to manage multiple change packages and priorities

Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and program teams

Hands-on experience with Teamcenter, Enovia, and/or Costpoint
