Job summary

The Office of the Special Commissioner of Investigation for the New York City School District (SCI) seeks an experienced Confidential Investigator to conduct confidential investigations into corruption, unethical conduct, and other misconduct within the NYC school system.

The investigator will interview subjects and witnesses (including child victims of sexual misconduct), review records, prepare reports, maintain case files, and make recommendations for future investigations or actions.

Responsibilities

• Question subjects and witnesses, including child victims of sexual misconduct.
• Examine and analyze records and documents related to investigations.
• Maintain case records, prepare reports and briefs, and analyze data gathered from investigations.
• Prepare final reports and make recommendations for future investigations or legal actions.
