Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Conferencing Manager to join our National Security Solutions team supporting a government client in the Northern Virginia area.

You will oversee planning, coordination, and execution of conferences, training events and meetings. The role requires TS/SCI with polygraph clearance, at least five years of experience in event planning, strong budget management, and ability to work with stakeholders across security, logistics, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Clearance TS/SCI with polygraph is required.
• Five years of proven work experience as an Event Planner or Conference Manager.
• Knowledge of KPIs and conferencing software for event management.
• Personnel management experience with excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight to the conferencing team for planning, organizing and executing events such as conferences, training and meetings.
• Fully coordinate and collaborate on all tasks, activities, requirements and issues pertaining to the support of the Customer’s conferencing and training events.
• Develop conferencing event plans and schedules, and define and document the implementation of requirements.
• Manage customer expectations with proactive, consistent and transparent communication.
• Oversee all aspects of event planning and execution, including catering, venue selection, logistics, AV requirements, and scheduling.
• Work with event point of contact, stakeholders, food service, logistics, security, and vendors to meet event objectives.
• Develop the event budget in accordance with guidelines and manage it; present to government POCs for approval.
• Conduct post-event evaluations with POC, attendees and support teams to assess success and identify improvements.
