Job summary

Emerson College is seeking a Manager, Conferences & Events to develop and grow revenue-generating conference, event, and housing programs across campus. You will coordinate with Facilities, Dining, and other partners to ensure spaces, services, and access are prepared for every program.

Responsibilities include managing the Summer Conference Program and Internship Housing, budgeting and invoicing, vendor relations, and marketing to attract new clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field required.
• Alternatively, 10+ years of equivalent experience considered in lieu of a degree.
• 5–7 years of event management experience preferred in educational or large-scale public settings.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for event-related matters for campus spaces, coordinating with faculty, staff, students, and external clients.
• Lead and manage coordination between Conferences & Events and Facilities for all event and program needs, including space setup, custodial services, maintenance, building access, furniture, and equipment.
• Manage the Summer Conference Program, including budget and financial operations from invoicing through revenue allocation.
• Design and manage an Internship Housing Program, with marketing, inquiries, contracts, and billing.
• Update and manage the Summer Conference and Internship Housing Program website.
• Oversee relationships with external vendors, solicit quotes, coordinate services, and ensure timely delivery of contracted services.
• Provide revenue forecasts and identify growth opportunities within the programs.
• Support events during evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Coordinate building access and schedules with ECPD and Campus Card Services for internal and external events.
• Oversee Colonial Apartments operations, including reservations, communications, contracts, billing, and turnover.
• Develop proactive sales strategies to grow the Summer Conference Program.
