Job summary

Emerson College is seeking an Associate Director of Institutional Events & Commencement to lead planning and execution of major commencement activities and other signature events. This role drives project plans, budgets, vendor coordination, and cross-department collaboration to deliver polished experiences for students and families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• 5-7 years of progressive, large-scale event production or ceremony management experience required.
• Demonstrated experience with AI tools to improve operations and communications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning and execution of annual multi-day commencements, hooding ceremonies, and VIP platform events.
• Develop master project plans, timelines, checklists, budgets, scripts, and run-of-show documents.
• Coordinate communications with students, families, faculty, staff, and leadership via email workflows and website updates.
