CONFERENCE SERVICES ATTENDANT (PART TIME)

Location: SAP - 135 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Part-time schedule. Days and hours may vary. More details upon interview.

Requirement: 1 year of previous conference services experience is preferred.

Pay Range: $22.50 per hour to $24.50 per hour

Job Summary

Ensures that all meeting rooms and public areas of the facility are maintained to the highest level of professional appearance and that all meeting requirements are met prior to the meeting start time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Moves and places tables, chairs, and supply linens for each event in the conference center.
  • Sets up items not included in the room (flipcharts, whiteboard, screens, etc.).
  • Prepares conference rooms with proper materials (pens, pads, handouts, event packages, etc.).
  • Refreshes rooms between meetings.
  • Provides prompt and detailed service as scheduled or requested.
  • Maintains communication with clients, guests, team members, and support departments.
  • Assists clients and visitors, including directions and escorting to conference rooms.
  • Collaborates with co-workers and service partners for updated information.
  • Offers recommendations for room setups and solutions for setup challenges.
  • Conducts weekly inspections of meeting rooms and contacts departments for service needs.
  • Assists with basic audio visual equipment as needed.
  • Maintains inventory of supplies and notifies supervisors when needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Previous customer service or houseman/porter experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
