Job summary

See’s Candies, Inc. in Burlingame, CA is seeking a Production Manager to oversee candy-making operations from raw materials to finished goods, ensuring safety, quality, service and cost.

You will manage scheduling, staffing, inventory, and production reporting, coordinate hiring with HR, and lead safety and GMP programs on the plant floor. The ideal candidate has at least five years of confectionery or food-manufacturing management, a related bachelor’s degree, and strong leadership; salary

Qualifications

• At least five years of management experience in confectionery or quality food-manufacturing.
• Experience in inventory control, quality assurance, and control of process and product flow from raw material to finished goods.
• Excellent management and oral and written communication skills; Spanish is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field; proficiency in Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee candy-making operations, ensuring safety, quality, service and cost.
• Manage ERP transactions related to scheduling, staffing, supply and ingredient planning, inventory control, and production reporting.
• Coordinate hiring and layoffs with Human Resources, ensuring compliance with labor laws and the Union contract.
• Supervise production personnel and maintain SOPs and training programs.
