Conestoga Sports Instructor

Conestoga Recreation & Aquatic Center is looking for an enthusiastic and responsible Conestoga Sports Instructor to lead preschool and youth sports programming. We are seeking community-minded, safety-focused individuals who are passionate about recreation and enjoy working with our youngest participants of all abilities and backgrounds.

As a Conestoga Sports Instructor you’ll:

• Lead engaging preschool level classes that promote skill development and fun
• Support the needs of individuals and manage small group dynamics
• Ensure physical safety by adapting activities to meet participants’ abilities
• Foster a welcoming and positive environment that encourages confidence, teamwork, and community

To be considered for a position, instructors should feel comfortable teaching at least two of the following sports:

• Baseball/Softball
• Basketball
• Football
• Golf
• Pickleball
• Pre-Gymnastics/Tumbling
• Preschool Level Sports Introduction – All Sports
• Soccer/Futsal
• Tennis
• Volleyball
• Yoga Basics

Scheduling

Hours will vary and are based on program need. This position is typically scheduled for 2 to 29 hours per week, between facility hours of 8:30am - 7:00pm, with opportunities Sunday through Saturday.

Positions

Instructor I: No teaching experience required, must love working with people of all ages and abilities; be able to work inside and outside; and be at least 16 years of age. The hiring range for this position is $19.78 to $22.30, based experience and internal equity. Staff may be eligible for a merit increase at the end of September.

Instructor II: Must have at least 1 year of experience in leading and instructing general classes and be at least 16 years of age. The hiring range for this position is $21.81 to $24.59, based experience and internal equity. Staff may be eligible for a merit increase at the end of September.

Instructor III: Must have over 2 years of experience and specialized training in the assigned program area; and be 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license. The hiring rate for this position is $26.51 to $27.33,based on experience and internal equity.The full hourly range for this job classification is $26.51 to $29.89. Staff may be eligible for a merit increase at the end of September.
