Job summary

Rio Grande Pacific Corporation (RGPC) is seeking a Conductor/Engineer for RGPC Industrial Rail Services. The role centers on safe work practices, railroad operating rules, and FRA compliance while supporting switching, train handling, customer service, and interchange operations.

The position requires willingness to become certified as an engineer and a valid driver's license; certified locomotive engineers are preferred.

Qualifications

• Certified Locomotive Engineers preferred.
• Willing to become a certified engineer.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must pass the operating rules examination.
• Must distinguish color signal aspects.

Responsibilities

• Perform switching, make-up and break-up of trains, and road haul train movements.
• Perform ground tasks including coupling and uncoupling cars and operating switches.
• Maintain accurate records of cars handled, repairs performed, and track conditions encountered.
• Complete accurate switch lists, interchange records, and assigned paperwork.
• Communicate with management, customer service teams, and connecting railroads.
