Job summary

NRP in Virginia is seeking an experienced Association Manager to oversee the community association portfolio, supervise staff and contractors, and ensure operations align with governing documents. You will prepare board meeting materials, manage RFPs and budgets, and assist with reserve studies as needed.

You will also approve expenditures, respond to owner inquiries promptly, and maintain a positive work culture while ensuring clear communication with boards and ownership.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee general operation of the community association portfolio and supervise staff and contracted service providers.
  • Regularly communicate with the Board regarding community issues.
  • Enforce Rules and Regulations as outlined in governing documents.
  • Prepare notices and meeting packets for all Association and Board meetings promptly.
  • Attend monthly Board Meetings, Annual Meetings, and any Special Meetings as contracted.
  • Prepare RFPs and secure proposals for day-to-day operations, providing recommendations to Boards.
  • Oversee item-level accuracy for each unit/lot and assist in budgeting and reserve studies.
  • Approve expenditures and obtain Board approval for amounts beyond thresholds.
  • Respond to owner inquiries promptly and in line with company standards.
  • Manage decision-making with short and long-range objectives for the associations.
  • Handle after-hours emergency calls as scheduled.

Requirements

  • Proficient in conflict resolution techniques.
  • Ability to maintain a positive work culture in line with NRP's values and beliefs.
  • Strong time management and time-critical organizational skills.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
Experience
  • 2 years or more of Association Management experience (Preferred).
  • CMCA, AMS, or PCAM certification is preferred; please specify if applicable.
