Job summary

Rex Vault & Mausoleum Service, Inc. in Indiana is hiring a Production Worker to receive daily assignments from the plant manager and participate in the manufacture of concrete products and preparation for graveside funeral services.

The role includes shop work, operating the concrete batch plant, pours and strips concrete molds, loads and unloads trucks, and maintains daily cleaning routines. Schedule is Mon-Fri, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM; base pay $18.00–$20.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to follow written directions to get to and from job sites.
• Work in outdoor weather conditions.
• Strong organizational skills and be detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Learn operation of the concrete batch plant.
• Pour concrete into specific molds.
• Strip concrete from molds.
• Loading and unloading trucks for deliveries to and from job site.
• Unloading shipments from suppliers and organizing inventory.
• Daily shop cleaning routines including sweeping floors and trash removal.

Job Overview

Our Production Worker position will receive daily assignments from the plant manager which may include but not limited to; graveside funeral services, as well as shop work where we manufacture our concrete products and prep them.

Schedule

Mon-Fri 7:00 AM- 4:00 PM

Shop Work

• Work closely with other team members in the day-to-day operations
• Learn operation of the concrete batch plant
• Achieve weekly and monthly production goals as defined
• Pour concrete into specific molds
• Strip (remove) concrete from molds
• Provide customization to burial vaults prior to services as requested
• Loading and unloading trucks for deliveries to and from job site
• Unloading shipments from suppliers and organizing inventory
• Daily shop cleaning routines including but not limited to, sweeping floors and emptying trash cans.
• All other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• The ability to take and follow written directions to get to and from job sites (GPS doesn’t always work)
• This position will work in all outdoor weather conditions
• Must have strong organization skills and be detail oriented
