Job summary

Garney is seeking a Superintendent to lead self-perform concrete operations on water and wastewater treatment plant projects in Colorado. You will supervise concrete crews, coordinate resources, and ensure safety and quality while meeting schedules.

The role requires a Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree and 5+ years of concrete construction leadership. Travel may be required to support project needs and Garney’s commitment to excellence.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of concrete construction experience with leadership experience as Foreman or Superintendent.
• Experience leading self-perform structural concrete crews on heavy civil or industrial projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily self-perform concrete operations on water and wastewater treatment plant projects.
• Supervise crews performing structural concrete work (foundations, walls, slabs, tanks, equipment pads).
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials and schedules to keep projects on track.
• Ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and to high quality standards.
• Collaborate with PMs, Engineers, inspectors and other trades to resolve field challenges.
• Mentor field crews and promote safety culture.

A Superintendent position is available at Garney. As a Superintendent , you will be making a difference every day by helping Garney build work. You will have the opportunity to demonstrate your leadership skills and construction knowledge at Garney.

What You Will Be Doing

• Lead daily self-perform concrete operations on water and wastewater treatment plant projects.
• Supervise crews performing structural concrete work, including foundations, walls, slabs, tanks, and equipment pads.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and schedules to keep projects on track.
• Ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, inspectors, and other trades to resolve field challenges.
• Mentor and develop field crews while promoting a strong safety culture.
• Negotiate and purchase materials
• Maintain as-built documents
• Act as owner and architect/engineer contact
• Verify and provide inventory analysis
• Survey construction job site

What We Are Looking For

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or relative career experience
• 5+ years of concrete construction experience with leadership experience as a Foreman or Superintendent.
• Experience leading self-perform structural concrete crews on heavy civil or industrial projects.
• Water/wastewater treatment plant experience preferred.
• Ability to read construction drawings and manage project schedules.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork, with willingness to travel as needed.
