Job summary

Hillen Corporation in Denver seeks a Sawcutting Assistant to support the Sawcutting Operator in preparing, operating, and maintaining equipment for cutting concrete, asphalt, and other materials at Denver project sites.

This role requires assisting with site preparation, transporting tools, following safety protocols, and collaborating with the crew to maintain efficient workflow and hazards minimization. Outdoor work with physical demands is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in sawcutting or related construction roles preferred.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Site Preparation and Support: Prepare job sites, clear debris, and mark cutting lines as directed. Transport tools and materials; keep area clean and safe.
• Equipment Assistance: Set up and adjust sawcutting equipment; perform basic maintenance; monitor equipment and report issues.
• Safety and Compliance: Follow safety guidelines; use PPE; help set up barriers and signage around the work area.
• Team Collaboration: Work with operators and crew; communicate tasks; assist with additional duties to support project goals.
