Structural Technologies in Washington, DC is seeking a construction field technician to perform concrete repair, rebar installation, and post-tensioning tasks alongside foremen. This in-person role emphasizes safety, tool use, and commitment to project timelines.

The ideal candidate has construction site experience, can lift up to 50 lbs, and is willing to travel between projects with overtime likely. Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus and growth within the company is encouraged.

Experienced construction field technicians or laborers preferred.
Familiarity with concrete repair, formwork and finishing, grouting, rebar placement/tying is a plus.
Knowledge of post-tensioning installation and/or stressing is advantageous.
Experience with new and existing buildings; comfortable at heights.
Ability to read and speak English.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Willing to work more than 40 hours per week.
Growth within the company with salary progression.
Pre-employment drug screen required; DMV check; own transportation.

Collaborate with Foreman/Superintendent to execute daily tasks.
Perform general concrete repair and operate power tools (rotary hammers, chipping hammers, etc.). Post-tension repair.
Install/stress rebar and post-tensioning systems.
Travel between projects as needed.

This position is not suitable for applicants with only welding experience. There are no welding duties in this position.

Responsibilities

Work alongside a Foreman/Superintendent to execute daily tasks
General concrete repair (demolition, rebar installation, carpentry, concrete pours, finishing) and operating power-tools (i.e., rotary hammers, chipping hammers, hammer drills, etc.). Post-tension repair
Rebar/post-tension installation and stressing
Independently travel between projects.

Qualifications

Focused on safety in all situations and environments.
Comfortable with the use of standard PPE at construction sites.
Team and solution oriented, with a proactive, professional, positive attitude.
Experienced construction field technicians / laborers.
Advantageous if familiar with concrete repair, formwork and finishing, grouting, and placement/tying of rebar.
Advantageous if familiar with the installation and/or stressing of post-tensioning systems.
Familiar with new construction and existing buildings.

The ability to read and speak English.
