About the Role

STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES is seeking a qualified field technician for concrete repair and post‑tensioning work. This position is not suitable for applicants with only welding experience; there are no welding duties.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside a Foreman/Superintendent to execute daily tasks
• General concrete repair (demolition, rebar installation, carpentry, concrete pours, finishing)
• Operate power tools such as rotary hammers, chipping hammers, and hammer drills
• Post‑tension repair: rebar/post‑tension installation and stressing
• Travel independently between projects

Required Qualifications

• Focused on safety in all situations and environments
• Comfortable with the use of standard PPE at construction sites
• Team and solution oriented, with a proactive, professional, positive attitude
• Experienced construction field technicians or laborers
• Ability to lift material up to 50 lbs
• Good hand‑eye coordination and capable of standing for extended periods
• Motivated to work more than 40 hours per week
• English reading and speaking skills
• Comfortable working at heights
• Desire to grow and advance within the company

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with concrete repair, formwork and finishing, grouting, placement/tying of rebar
• Experience with installation and/or stressing of post‑tensioning systems
• Familiarity with new construction and existing buildings
• Prior experience in post‑tensioning (ideal but not required)
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
• Union ironworkers or rod breakers able to work union or open‑shop projects preferred

Job Details

Job Types: Full‑time, Contract, Temporary. Schedule: 10‑hour shift or 8‑hour shift. Pay: $18.00–$25.00 per hour. Location: In‑person at Structural Technologies sites. Must provide own transportation, valid driver’s license, and pass DMV record screening. Pre‑employment drug screen required.
