Job summary

Swank Construction Company, LLC is seeking an ACI/PennDOT Certified Concrete Technician/Plant Technician to oversee concrete production and quality control on highway and infrastructure projects.

You will monitor batching, perform tests (slump, air content, compressive strength), inspect materials, maintain records, and collaborate with plant and field staff while upholding safety and PennDOT standards.

Qualifications

• ACI Field-Testing Technician Level I certificate required.
• Certified PennDOT Plant Technician required; willingness to certify.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor batching, mixing, and delivery to meet specs and quality standards.
• Perform slump, air content,compressive strength, gradation, and temperature tests.
• Inspect raw materials and finished products for quality.
• Maintain records of test results and production data.
• Calibrate equipment as needed.
• Collaborate with plant team on corrective actions and preventive measures.
• Follow OSHA safety guidelines and company policies.
• Communicate with supervisors, plant staff, field staff, and PennDOT inspectors.
