Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH company, is seeking a Quality Control Technician to perform routine tests on raw materials, in-process components and final concrete products in an industrial environment in New York.

The role requires a high school diploma and quality control experience; ACI/NPCA certifications are preferred or required to pass ACI testing within months; basic computer skills are needed and candidates must be able to lift up to 40 lbs throughout the day.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have quality control experience in related industry.
• ACI / NPCA Certifications preferred, or required to pass ACI Concrete Field Testing within 3 to 6 months and maintain certification.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read/write simple instructions and communicate effectively with team members.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. periodically throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily compressive strength testing of hardened concrete specimens
• Monitor production operations as required
• Report to management team on process improvements, repetitive mistakes, and quality concerns
• Other responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
