Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH company, is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join its manufacturing operations. The role involves routine testing of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products in an industrial environment.

The ideal candidate will perform compression strength tests, inspection routines, and participate in quality improvements. This position may include leading a small team and coordination with regulatory bodies, with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Quality control experience in related industry required.
• ACI/PCI certification preferred or ability to pass ACI Concrete Field Testing within 3 months.
• Basic computer and tablet skills.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs periodically.
• Some travel required (<10%).

Responsibilities

• Perform daily compressive strength testing of hardened concrete specimens.
• Perform daily pre/post pour inspections on products.
• Monitor production operations as required.
• Patch, setup, and assist pipe crew during pourings.
• Report to management on process improvements and quality concerns.
• Oversee a small team of individuals.
• Receive and file raw material reports for documentation.
• Coordinate with State DOT agencies, ACI, NPCA.
• Other duties as assigned.
