Job summary

Chaney Enterprises is seeking a Quality Control Technician to implement QA methods for concrete products and raw materials, performing laboratory and field testing across plant sites. The role requires travel to company and customer locations, and frequent testing to ensure compliance with specifications and project requirements.

Responsibilities include specimen testing, gradation and moisture checks, load certification, and coordination with operations staff to maintain product quality.

Qualifications

• Experience with concrete testing and QA procedures.
• Ability to conduct laboratory and field tests per specifications.
• Strong communication and technical reporting skills.
• Willingness to travel to plant sites and customer locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen testing of concrete from loads and mixes and prepare test reports.
• Conduct aggregate and batch plant testing including daily gradation and moisture tests.
• Certify concrete loads for specification projects per DOT requirements.
• Test trial batches of new mix designs and adjust for specs compliance.
• Analyze lab results and provide technical guidance to plant ops staff.
• Maintain documentation of testing activities and certification records.
• Assist with process improvements to boost quality and efficiency.
