Job summary

W3Global in Jackson, MS is seeking a Concrete Quality Control Technician to join a precast concrete plant and outdoor yard. The role focuses on quality control with responsibilities for pre-pour inspections, fresh concrete testing, cylinder preparation, and post-pour verification.

The ideal candidate will hold an ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade I certification and have experience in concrete QC, precast or ready-mix environments.

Qualifications

• ACI Grade I certification is required, preferably current.
• Strong knowledge of fresh concrete testing procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
• Hands-on work in plant and outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-pour inspections of reinforcing steel, dimensions, forms, and related components.
• Conduct fresh concrete testing in accordance with applicable standards.
• Prepare and test concrete cylinders.
• Perform aggregate and other construction material testing.
• Conduct post-pour inspections to verify quality and specifications.
• Monitor production practices to ensure established quality standards are met.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints.
• Maintain accurate quality control records and test results.
• Identify quality issues and communicate findings to production and management teams.
• Work both inside the precast manufacturing facility and outdoors in the storage yard.
