Job summary

Commercial Metals seeks qualified personnel to join our QC team in a fast-paced precast/steel products environment. You will conduct inspections, perform concrete tests, and ensure products meet all quality standards before shipment.

We value attention to detail, documentation, and strong communication as you support audits, calibrations, and cross-functional problem solving with production teams. Day-one benefits and ongoing training are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality control or concrete testing in precast or construction materials.
• Ability to read and interpret specifications and quality requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic office software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and document pre-pour, post-pour, and final inspections of precast concrete products.
• Test fresh and hardened concrete per industry standards and project specs.
• Inspect, approve, and stamp products before shipment per ASTM, DOT, and client requirements.
• Maintain accurate quality records and test reports.
• Monitor incoming materials and assist with calibration and maintenance of QC equipment.
• Support plant certification programs and prepare for audits.
• Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality concerns.

What You'll Do

What You'll Need

• Experience in quality control, concrete testing, construction materials testing, or precast concrete manufacturing.
• Knowledge of concrete testing procedures, quality standards, and inspection practices.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Ability to read and interpret specifications and quality requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and perform physical job duties.

Your Education

• High School Diploma or GED required
• QC Certifications (ACI, NCPA, DOT)
