Job summary

Century Concrete, Inc., a CRH company, seeks a Concrete Quality Control Field Technician to perform ASTM-standard tests on concrete and raw materials under the guidance of the Technical Services Manager. You will ensure products meet exact specifications and act as a technical resource for customers.

The role requires at least two years in QC testing, with preferred ACI Field-Testing Technician certification and related certifications.

Qualifications

• Two years of concrete QC testing experience preferred.
• ACI Field-Testing Technician certification preferred.
• Proficient in ASTM/ACI testing procedures and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct seven ASTM tests on plastic concrete samples including slump, air, yield, temperature, moisture, and related analyses.
• Lead batch plant teams in testing and quality procedures.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by resolving inquiries and issues.
• Collect and sieve rock and sand samples to maintain quality.
• Manage and deliver test cylinders to the research lab.
• Ensure ASTM/ACI compliance in testing and reporting.
• Keep laboratory equipment calibrated and in good condition.
• Document test results and maintain project records.
• Conduct safety training for drivers and staff.
• Take on special projects and additional tasks as assigned.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow safety regulations.
• Coordinate with batch plants to optimize concrete production.
