Job summary

Idaho Materials & Construction, a CRH Company, seeks a Quality Control Technician to perform routine tests on raw materials, ready-mix concrete, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards. You will monitor production activities, assist with pre/post-pour inspections, and work with engineering to confirm drawings and product integrity.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1–2 years QC experience, and certifications such as ACI Field Tech I or PCI Level II/III

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One to two years of prior QC experience preferred.
• ACI Field Tech I QC certification preferred.
• PCI Level II or III certification preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret shop/engineering drawings.
• Basic computer skills and data entry ability.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production activities on concrete projects.
• Perform daily testing of concrete specimens for quality.
• Conduct pre-pour and post-pour inspections of precast/prestress concrete.
• Support reduction of detailing operations where possible.
• Ensure correct implementation of the QC program.
• Collaborate with engineering to verify drawings and products.
• Other duties as assigned.
